Hue
Picks the note in the scheme.
Height
Top is high, bottom is low. Spans the octaves.
Brightness
Velocity. Pale speaks softly.
Saturation
Opens the lowpass. Vivid rings brighter.
Grey
Noise percussion. B&W images map by brightness instead.

Touch
Painting sounds the note as you touch the canvas. Clicking a palette swatch sounds it too. The mapping teaches itself.
Audition
Painting sounds the note as you touch the canvas. Clicking a palette swatch sounds it too. The instrument teaches its own mapping.
Space
Play / stop.
E
Erase mode. B returns to paint.
Cmd/Ctrl Z
Undo. Add Shift to redo.
Alt + click
Eyedropper. Picks the colour at the cursor from the painting.
Type values
Click any number in the control bar (bpm, brush, trans, loops) and type directly. Arrow keys nudge by step.
Drag
Paint a stroke. Touch works the same.

PNG
Saves the canvas as a still.
Share
Compresses the painting into the URL hash. Anyone can play it.
WAV
Renders the full mixdown offline. Pick the loop count.
Stems
One WAV per scheme note plus a percussion stem, bundled as a zip. Drop into any DAW to remix.
MIDI
Standard MIDI file of the loop. Pitched notes on channel 1, percussion on channel 10. Open in any DAW to assign your own instruments.
MP4
Records canvas plus audio. Real .mp4 file, all browsers.
